Another Spike In New COVID-19 Infections In Bhubaneswar, Active Cases Mount To 1794

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw a big jump in daily COVID-19 caseload on Thursday as 379 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

The city had seen 309 new infections the previous day.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 270 are local contact cases and 109 from quarantine.

Old Town reported the highest of 17 positive cases, followed by 15  from Nayapalli, 13 from Patia, 11 from Khandagiri, and 10 each from Niladri Vihar and Chandrasekharpur.

Among the quarantine cases, 14 cases are reported from Patia and nine from Nayapalli.

Bhubaneswar also saw 66 more patients getting cured of the infection during this period.

With this, the city now has 1794 active cases.
