Another Suicide Attempt In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Three days after the rescue a man was rescued from the rooftop of Parija Library building at Utkal University, a similar incident was reported in the Odisha capital again on Monday afternoon.

According to sources, while Gaon Sathi members were staging a dharna at the Lower PMG Square near the State Assembly for the fulfilment of their long-standing demands.  One of the agitators, Madhu Chhatria, a native of Balangir district, suddenly climbed up a nearby tree and threatened to commit suicide.

Following information, a Fire Brigade team rushed to the spot and requested the youth to come down. When he refused, the Fire Services personnel climbed the tree and brought him down.

The youth was later admitted to the Capital Hospital where the doctors found him to be mentally unstable.
