Bhubaneswar: A day after a law student allegedly jumped to his death from an apartment, an Integrated MSc student of Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room at Ghatikia in Odisha capital on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Subhrajyoti Rout of Kendrapada. He was a final-year Integrated MSc (Physics) student.
According to sources, Subhrajyoti had a telephonic conversation with his parents last night. There was no response when they tried to contact him this morning. Following which, they informed police, which reached the hostel premises and sent the body to Capital Hospital here for postmortem.
Alleging that he was murdered, his father Abhay Rout had lodged a written complaint at Bharatpur police station.
