Puri: An undertrial prisoner was found hanging inside the district jail in Odisha’s Puri on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Shivaprasad Bhoi (45) of Biswanathpur, had been arrested under the POCSO Act in January.
Last month also, a prisoner was found hanging inside the Puri district jail. The deceased was identified as Biswanath Barik of Shishapur village. He was found hanging with a towel tied around his neck inside the bathroom of the prison.
He was behind bars in connection with a sexual assault case.
