Mumbai: In a fresh twist to the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case involving Aryan Khan, the bodyguard of independent witness KP Gosavi, Prabhakar Sail, alleged that he was made to sign on blank papers by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Sail in a detailed affidavit claimed that he was there with KP Gosavi on the night of the raid (October 2) and his signatures were taken on blank papers by the NCB officials. He has named Sameer Wankhede as the officer who instructed him to sign the blank papers. Wankhede has reportedly denied the allegation.
He also expressed a threat to his life, even as his employer Gosavi has gone missing.
“I say that KP Gosavi is missing now and I now fear that NCB officials and other persons involved may kill me or abduct me like KP Gosavi. As seen in big cases, witnesses are often killed or taken away…”
Gosavi had grabbed the spotlight after sharing a selfie with Aryan Khan on October 3.
Sharing a purported video of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan apparently in NCB custody, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut tweeted that the allegations that a witness in the case was made to sign on blank paper is shocking. “Also there are reports that there was demand of huge money. Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray said that these cases are made to defame Maharashtra. This seems to be coming true. The police should take suo moto cognisance,” he added.
In the 12-second video, Aryan can be seen saying something and KP Gosavi recording it with his phone.
There have been claims about pay-offs and collusion against NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede and KP Gosavi.
Sail had alleged that he overheard an Rs 18 crore deal between Gosavi and a certain Sam D’Souza, of which Rs 8 crore was to be paid to Wankhede.
”Till we reach Lower Parel, Gosavi was talking to Sam and stated that you put a bomb of 25 crores and let us settle at 18 final because we have to give 8 crores to Sameer Wankhede,” the affidavit further read.
