A video of a youth, who allegedly committed suicide at Titlagarh railway station on January 18, surfaced on Wednesday.
In the video, the youth, Pratap Barik, is seen describing his ordeal of losing Rs 70,000 due to online fraud.
He had received call from one Rana Singh, informing him about a lottery of Rs 25 lakh which he had won in the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The caller then asked him to deposit Rs 70,000 in four instalments in separate bank accounts to avoid tax deductions.
Pratap ended the video saying he is about to commit suicide because of the fraud.
Police and experts have repeatedly asked the public to remain extremely cautious about such phone calls and messages.
Earlier this month, a youth had recorded a video on his cellphone before jumping in front a moving train in Cuttack over a failed relationship.
