Anti-Maoist Posters Found In Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Anti-Maoists condemning violent activities have surfaced
in different parts, including Kalimela and Khariput blocks, of Malkangiri district on Thursday.

Through the posters, members of Adivasi Ekta Manch accused of the ultras as
agents of anti-development and warned them against the killing of innocent
people by falsely  branding them as police informers. The posters also
appealed to the villagers to unitedly oppose Maoists’ activities in the
area.

On Tuesday night, a group of Maoists killed a tribal, identified as
Sadhu Khemunu, by slitting his throat at Nakamamudi Pipilipadar village
in Chitrakonda of Malkangiri district suspecting him to be a police
informer.

Later, the Naxals also torched three tractors and a JCB machine in the
area opposing road construction work in the area.
