Anti-Terror Diplomacy: Odisha MP Baijayant Panda-Led Delegation Reaches Bahrain

Bhubaneswar: The all-party delegation led by BJP MP from Odisha Baijayant Panda reached its first destination, Bahrain, on Saturday.

The delegation is on a four-nation visit, which includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria, to counter global misinformation and highlight India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.

BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak and Satnam Singh Sandhu, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi  MP, BJP, chairman of Democratic Progressive Azad Party Ghulam Nabi Azad; and former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla are part of this delegation.

Earlier speaking to ANI, Baijayant said: “Today our group is embarking on this trip to West Asia…the biggest message is the unity that India has shown to the world and continues to show. We are very clear about taking the message that, after having won on the battlefield, it is important to ask the world to stay focused on terrorism…we suffer from a special kind of terrorism that is state-sponsored…”

Another group led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has also left New Delhi. This delegation will travel to the USA, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia as part of India‘s global outreach to expose Pakistan-backed terror.
