Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Monday put a stay on the move to withdraw the Parliament spouse ID card of Ollywood actor Varsha Priyadarshini.
Notices in this regard have been issued to the secretary-general and deputy director of Parliament, besides MP and Varsha’s husband Anubhav Mohanty. The next hearing has been posted for March 15.
Earlier, the Parliament Secretariate had issued a notice to Varsha following a request by her estranged husband to the House to withdraw the privilege.
She was asked to return identity card number 300 in December last year.
Varsha had then moved HC challenging the order.
While Anubhav has filed for divorce from Varsha, the latter has demanded restitution of conjugal rights under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
Varsha has also moved Sub Divisional Magistrate of Cuttack, accusing him of physical and mental torture. She has filed a domestic violence case against him.
