Rourkela: Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar organised a walkathon to raise awareness on healthy heart in Rourkela on Sunday. .
The walkathon was inaugurated by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water, Law, Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena in the presence of Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak, IGH Joint Director Dr NP Sahoo and IMA Secreatry Dr Ranjan Datta.
Around 285 people from across the steel city participated in the walkathon, which started from Birsa Chowk and ended at Power House Chowk. It concluded with pledge board signatures and certificate distribution to the participants.
Besides, Apollo Hospitals had also organised a free heart health screening programme at Apollo Clinic in Rourkela on Saturday.
