Apple HomePod Launched In India At Lower Price Than US

Apple’s Echo and Google Mini competitor is finally here. The smart speaker HomePod is now available in India for Rs 19,900. This price is slightly lower than the US price of $299.

Avaiable in white and space grey colours, the HomePod is currently available for delivery in green and orange zones.

The Apple HomePod supports Indian English Siri voices that uses AI to adapt to its surrounding.

Users will have access to Apple Music which has over 60 million songs.

The HomePod has a high-excursion woofer with a custom amplifier and has an array of seven horn-loaded tweeters, each of which has an own amplifier. It has six-microphone arrays for far-field Siri voice recognition.

It supports direct and ambient audio beam-forming, and automatic bass correction for the microphone.

Apart from Siri, users can stream music from iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Mac. The HomePad supports WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and multi-room speaker support with AirPlay 2.
