Bhubaneswar: Apple’s iPhone 17 series is generating buzz with anticipated upgrades in design, performance, and cameras. While the standard iPhone 17 may keep some familiar features like the 16 series, the iPhone 17 Pro could introduce new premium upgrades.
The iPhone 17 series is shaping up for significant upgrades, featuring a larger display, improved cameras, faster processors, and a refined design. While the standard model will receive minor updates, the Pro version could introduce major innovations, making it a top choice for users looking for high-end performance.
Apple typically launches new iPhones in September, and the iPhone 17 series is expected to follow suit. Reports indicate the official release may take place between September 11 and 13, 2025. The iPhone 17 is likely to keep a vertical pill-shaped dual-camera module, similar to the iPhone 16.
Apple might introduce a 120Hz Promotion display on the standard model, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro versions, sources revealed. The iPhone 17 Pro may feature a redesigned rectangular camera bar and bring back its aluminium frame for durability.
The display size of the iPhone 17 may also be increased to 6.3 inches from 6.1 inches, making it the same size as the Pro model. Both devices could feature a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals.
Performance:
The iPhone 17 may be powered by Apple’s A19 chip with 8GB RAM, while the iPhone 17 Pro could feature the A19 Pro chip paired with 12GB RAM. Both processors are expected to be built on Apple’s second-generation 3nm process, improving efficiency and peed. The devices will run on iOS 19, integrating advanced Apple Intelligence features.
The iPhone 17 is expected to feature a 48MP Fusion main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, similar to the iPhone 16. The iPhone 17 Pro may get significant upgrades, including a 48MP wide sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP tetra prism telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom.
Apple is also likely to introduce an improved 24MP front camera on both models, a major upgrade from the previous 12MP selfie camera. While the iPhone 17 is expected to launch in White, Black, Pink, and Blue, the iPhone 17 Pro may feature more refined and sophisticated colour options.
Pricing:
The iPhone 17 series is expected to have similar pricing as the previous models. The iPhone 17 may cost around $799 in the USA, Rs 79,900 in India, and AED 3,399 in Dubai. The iPhone 17 Pro, being the premium model, could start at $999 in the USA, Rs 1,19,900 in India, and AED 4,299 in Dubai.
However, with months left before the official launch, more details and leaks are expected to emerge, giving a clearer picture of Apple’s next-generation iPhones.
