Mumbai: Apple has launched a new iPad Mini equipped with Apple Intelligence AI features in India. The new suite is powered by an A17 Prochip processor that enables it to provide AI features. Customers can pre-order the iPad Mini from October 13 and receive it from October 23.
The iPad Mini starts at Rs 49,000 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 64,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
The iPad Mini has a faster CPU and GPU apart from an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and a 2-time faster 16-core Neural Engine for a smooth experience of AI features. The neural engine helps to automatically identify documents in the Camera app and it can also use the new True Tone flash feature to remove shadows from the documents.
The front-facing camera is 12MP Ultra Wide while the back camera is 12 MP wide. They support Smart HDR 4. It comes in four colours: blue, purple, starlight, and space grey.
Apple says the new iPad Mini supports Wi-Fi 6 E and has an all-day battery life. It means the new iPad Mini offers twice the performance of the previous model. It also supports Apple Pencil Pro.
The new iPad Mini has choices of 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage while the previous model had a 64 GB storage at the base level.
