New Delhi: The Centre has revised the guidelines for the home isolation of mild or asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.
Interestingly, the guidelines issued by the Union Health Ministry have linked the level of oxygen saturation in a COVID-19 positive case as vital criteria for an asymptomatic diagnosis.
“The asymptomatic cases are laboratory confirmed cases not experiencing any symptoms and having oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94%,” said a ministry notification.
“Clinically assigned mild cases are patients with upper respiratory tract symptoms (&/or fever) without shortness of breath and having oxygen saturation at room air of more than 94%,” it added.
