Arijit Singh’s ‘Phir Se’ Moves Ranveer Singh To Tears, Fans React

Mumbai: Amid the huge success of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, Ranveer Singh released the music video of ‘Phir Se’, sung by Arijit Singh, and revealed that the song moved him to tears.

On Wednesday, Ranveer took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “I cried. Did you? #PhirSe video out now A Shashwat Sachdev Musical #DhurandharTheRevenge is now in cinemas worldwide.”

Soon after the actor shared the post, his on-screen sister Pari Pandher commented, “Jassi veerey.”

Saumya Tandon, who played Rehman Dakait’s wife, wrote, “I cried in the Punjab back story. You were so good. The scene where you recover your sister was devastatingly a good scene and yes I cried.”

Soon, fans also took to the comments section to shower love on the track.

A fan commented, “Thank you @arijitsingh for giving us this beautiful song before retirement.”

Another wrote, “You made us feel every damn emotion to the T dear @ranveersingh .. lots of love and respect and so many other things to you.”

In the film, ‘Phir Se’ plays when Jaskirat returns to India after years of working undercover in Pakistan, leaving behind his wife Yalina and their son Zayan.

The music video features a montage of scenes from the film, showing Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s emotional moments with his family in India, along with glimpses of his close bond with Yalina Jamali (played by Sara Arjun) during his time undercover as Hamza Ali Mazari.

Adding to the emotional impact, their son Zayan appears in a few brief but powerful moments that leave a strong impression.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ released in theatres on March 19 and has left cash registers ringing at the box-office.

The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Danish Pandor in key roles.
