Cuttack: Arindam Roy and Sivani Sangita starrer ‘Babu Bhaijaan’ was released on Sunday. A premiere of the movie, which is a biopic on Balasore-born successful entrepreneur Abdul Amin Khan, was oraginsed at Samrat Hall in Cuttack.
The film revolves around the struggle of Abdul, who did not have clothes to wear and had to wait in a long queue in school for some porridge. At a tender age, he had to hold scissor instead of slate and chalk to make ends meet. The sweat and labour saw him through the hardship and now, he is a successful entrepreneur in Delhi.
This is director Tapas Sargharia’s third film with Arindam after ‘Ishq Hai Tu Hi Tu’ & ‘Kalki’.
Produced by Santosh Narayan Das under the banner of Khawaja Garib Nawaz Production House, the film has Srittam, Babi Mishra, Mihir Das, Choudhru Bikash Das, Pradyumna Lenka, Deepak Mishra, Rabi Mishra, Pushpa Panda, Bidusmita and Saragharia essaying different roles.
The other highlight of the movie is that Bollywood singers Shaan and Abhijit have lent voice to the songs along with Ira Mohanty and Sangram.
