Armed Gang Ties Family, Loots Gold & Cash In Odisha’s Boudh



Boudh: A gang of armed miscreants stormed the residence of Debabrata Mishra and looted valuables at Valiapada village in Odisha’s Boudh district early on Wednesday.

This theft under Boudh Police Station limits has left the family traumatised and the community gripped by fear.

According to the family, the gang arrived

around 02.45 am and swiftly overpowered the household. Armed with weapons, they locked the nearby house of their relative, tied up family members and locked the main house from outside before forcing their way in at gunpoint. The intruders threatened the family, brandishing bombs.

Once inside, the robbers broke open cupboard locks and looted gold jewellery, cash and other household items. The ordeal left the victims paralysed with fear as the gang fled with the stolen property amid chaos.

The family called police as soon as they freed themselves after armed robbers left. Boudh police rushed to the site and initiated a preliminary investigation. A scientific team was also sent to conduct a detailed probe into the crime.
