Bhubaneswar: Two armed miscreants created a havoc in the office of Deputy Director, Nandankanan Zoological Park near Bhubaneswar by terrorising the officials and damaging the properties.
The miscreants armed with choppers stormed into the office of the Deputy Director at around 5 pm and abused the officials including ACF (SM) and ACF (VM) in their chamber.
They also manhandled Dr Rajesh Mahapatra, biologist; Dr Sudipta Kumar Panda, ACF (SBG); Dr Rashmi Ranjan Swoin, ACF (SM) and Ashuthosh Campa, audit officer in the F&E department.
Besides, the two youths, wo were apparently in an inebriated condition, moved around in the corridor and other chambers and damaged whatever came their way. The office materials including computers, laptops, printers, TV, and furniture were damaged by them.
The entire activities of the two miscreants have been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the offices.
ACF (SBG) informed the IIC of Nandankanan police station about the incident over phone. A PCR van went to the spot to nab the two miscreants.
