Dhenkanal: Armed miscreants allegedly looted Rs 14 lakh and an SUV from some traders in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Friday.
As per reports, the traders from Badasahi in Mayurbhanj district had come in the SUV to Jirala weekly market in Kamakhyanagar of the district to procure some goods. While they went inside the market, the driver stayed in the vehicle with the cash brought by the traders.
Meanwhile, the miscreants came on motorcycles to the market. They fired in the air and exploded hand-made bombs. As it led to a panic in the area, they fled with the SUV along with Rs 14 lakh.
After the traders filed a complaint at Kamakhyanagar police station, a case has been registered. The police have started investigation to identify the accused and apprehend them.
