Bhadrak: Six miscreants looted Rs 29 lakh at gunpoint near an ATM at Charampa in Bhadrak district on Friday evening.
According to reports, employees of a cash van parked in front of an ATM were loading cash in the machine when six armed miscreants came on three motorcycles and terrorised the employees. The armed security guards too were left helpless as the miscreants threatened them with sharp weapons, stated reports. They decamped with a trunk which had cash of around Rs 29 lakh.
Soon after the miscreants fled, local police was alerted. Four staff of the cash loading firm have been detained for questioning. Checking of vehicles in the area and exit points have been blocked.
