Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Arrives In Bhubaneswar For 3-Day Odisha Visit



Bhubaneswar: Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport here aboard a special Indian Air Force aircraft on Friday afternoon.

He is on a three-day official visit to Odisha, covering Bhubaneswar, Puri and Gopalpur.

Upon her arrival in Bhubaneswar, the Army Chie

f proceeded under tight security to the 120 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army), where arrangements have been made for his overnight stay and an official dinner. He will travel to Puri next morning and halt at Sainik Sadan. General Dwivedi is scheduled to offer prayers at Shree  Jagannath Temple during the visit.

Later in the day, General Dwivedi will fly to Army Air Defence College in Gopalpur, where he will review training infrastructure, receive operational briefings and interact with serving officers as well as ex-servicemen. His programme also includes witnessing a live firing exercise and equipment demonstration at a field firing range.

He will conclude his visit and return to New Delhi on March 29.
