Bhubaneswar: Overnight star Aroush Tagore completed a hard fought one stroke win at the Milky Moo Odisha Juniors as he shot a second round 85 and a gross of 165 at the Par 72 Bhubaneswar Golf Club here on Saturday.
Category B winner Saquib Hussain got a look in on the front nine as he led, courtesy a string of pars coupled with Tagore’s six consecutive bogeys but eventually ended up only matching the winner’s second day score to capture the overall runner’s up spot.
Rakshik Basu took second place in Category B and third overall after finishing a further five strokes behind Hussain at 171 having shot the day’s best of 81. He pushed Ramayush Ray to third in Category B and fourth overall by virtue of his better back nine score.
Prasidh Dhandhania won the Category C event by a comfortable four strokes after carding 173. Kabir Mehta though tied with Mohit Balasubramaniam finished second on count back after both finished at 177.
Aditya Khaitan took home the Category D title after a labored second round 97 to cruise home by seven strokes having carded 190. Armaan Tekriwal took the runners up spot by himself five strokes ahead of Ashrut Almal in third.
Category E was won by Varish Mohta followed by Hredaan Raj Bihani. Among the girls, Sana Hussain took home the Category C event with Navyaa Nahata winning Category D.
