Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths will take arrested an accounts officer of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) and her husband on three-day remand for interrogation in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
Odisha Finance Service (OFS) officer Nalini Prusty and her husband Bijay Ketan Sahoo, who was posted as tehsildar at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district, were arrested by vigilance on August 30 on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to their known sources of income.
Properties, both movable and immovable, worth Rs 6.87 crore were unearthed by the anti-corruption agency officials during simultaneous raids on seven places including their houses.
Prusty has been serving with OPEPA since 2015 and her service totals to 19 years, while that of her spouse is 13 years.
