Mumbai: After the Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) gave a clean chit to actress Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, SSR fans started trending #ArrestRheaChakraborty on X platform.
Unhappy with the closure report, which stated that Sushant died by suicide, fans of the late actor took to X to demand justice for him, who they believed was murdered.
After getting clearance in the case and her family visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to seek blessings and this irked the SSR fans, who started trolling her on social media.
On Saturday, CBI submitted a closure report in the Sushant case, four years and nine months after the talented actor was found dead in his Bandra apartment.
Several Bollywood celebrities including Fatima Sana Shaikh, Soni Razdan, Pooja Bhatt and Dia Mirza supported Rhea, and demanded an apology from the media for launching a witch hunt against her.
The 34-year-old Sushant died under mysterious circumstances at his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020.
The actor’s death sparked an outrage and the case was handed over to CBI.
