Rourkela: Arunima Thakur of Odisha’s Rourkela has secured All India Rank 1 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) PG 2025 entrance exam, the results of which was declared on December 8.
She emerged as the topper with an impressive 99.993 percentile score.
Daughter of Amitabh Thakur, a safety inspector at SAIL’s Rourkela Steel Plant, and Ruma Thakur, a schoolteacher, she is currently pursuing an integrated law course at University College of Law, Utkal University. She did her schooling from Ispat English Medium School, Sector-22, and Delhi Public School, Sector-14, Rourkela, and scored 97.8% and 98.2% in Class X and XII respectively.
They stay in Sector-18 of the Steel City.
Speaking to the media, Arunima said that the exam pattern is length and accordingly, she worked on her reading habit. “I read newspaper and judgements all year through because of which I faced no problem while going through the question paper of 44 pages with 24 passages,” she said.
She further stated that this is a milestone, which will help her in pursuing a career in civil services and judicial services.
