Bhubaneswar: Nature lovers, birdlovers and photographers are flocking back to Satkosia Sands Resort at Badmul in Odisha’s Nayagarh district, which reopened on Monday after being closed for nearly eight months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Satya Pattnaik was the first tourist to visit the resort since its reopening.
A total of 42 tourists visited Satkosia resort on the first day, all of whom were welcomed with flower bouquets.
All visitors are being allowed into the resort after thermal screening and proper sanitization.
Located in a dense forest, 18 km from Gania block, the resort has 12 cottages which include five AC luxurious facilities.
All cottages have been booked for the next seven days.
Besides tasty cuisine, tourists can enjoy the evenings watching folk dance beside bonfires. Another attraction is having dinner under an open sky.
Sand sports and boating in the Satkosia Gorge are also very popular among visitors, who love watching different species of birds and animals.
