New Delhi: With some countries reporting a spike in COVID-19 cases, the Union Health Ministry has asked all states and UTs to continue to focus on the five-fold strategy of ‘Test-Track-Treat-Vaccinate & Adherence to COVID Appropriate Behaviour’.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhusan has written to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Health Secretaries of states/UTs, urging them to focus on aggressive and sustained genome sequencing and intensified surveillance and keep an overall vigil on the COVID-19 situation.
With cases rising in some countries, a high-level meeting was chaired by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday to take stock of the situation in India.
