Bhubaneswar: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who is on a three-day visit to Odisha, received the grievances of Gobra Gram Panchayat of Athagarh block in Odisha’s Cuttack district on the midnight of Saturday.
The villagers apprised the Minister of water logging problems near the underpass at Level Crossing Gate No. CT-19 near the Gurudujhatia railway station, an official release said on Sunday.
Vaishnaw, while discussing the problems with the local people, assured them that immediate steps would be taken to sort out the inconvenience. He directed Railway officials to work on it.
As per the instructions of the Minister, a team of Khurda Road division headed by the Additional Divisional Railway Manager visited the site on Sunday forenoon.
Action was taken immediately by the departmental officials to resolve the problem faced by the residents of Gobra Gram Panchayat.
