Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw is scheduled to arrive in Odisha capital on Saturday.
According ECoR sources, he will interact with local artisans and craftsmen on to-be-launched Vishwakarma Yojana at Kapilaprasad here around 8.15 pm.
On Sunday, he will join the launch of Vishwakarma Yojana in New Delhi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through video conferencing from Railway Auditorium at Chandrasekharpur here at 10.15 am. The launch of the scheme will be held simultaneously at three places in the state — Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur.
To promote cleanliness and hygiene, Vaishnaw will lead the Swachhata Abhiyan Drive aboard a local train between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, around 2.30 pm and interact with passengers. He will also participate in the Swachhata Abhiyan at Cuttack railway station and brief the media around 3 pm, the sources added.
