Asit Tripathy Appointed KBK Chief Administrator

Bhubaneswar: In a massive reshuffle in the top bureaucracy, the Odisha government on Wednesday gave senior IAS officer of 1986 batch, Asit Tripathy, the additional charge of Chief Administrator of Kalahandi-Balangir-Koraput (KBK).

Tripathy is now posted as the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary, Planning & Convergence with the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Home.

Apart from this, the government also reshuffled 16 officers with new assignments, which are as follows:

— 1986 batch IAS and Chief Administrator, KBK, Sudarshan Pal Thakur has been transferred and posted as director general, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar.

—1988 batch IAS and Additional Chief Secretary, Electronics & Information Technology, C. J. Venugopal has been transferred and posted as Member, Board of Revenue.

—1990 batch IAS and Principal Secretary, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Niten Chandra has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), General Administration.

—1993 batch IAS and Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Deoranjan Kumar Singh will retain additional charge of Science and Technology.

—1994 batch IAS officer and director general, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Ranjana Chopra has been posted as Principal Secretary, ST and SC Development.

—1995 batch IAS officer Sushil Kumar Lohani, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Excise and Chairman, Odisha State Beverages Corporation Ltd has been given additional charge of Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Cuttack.

—1996 batch IAS officer and Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Vir Vikram Yadav will retain additional charge of Secretary, Cooperation.

—1996 batch IPS and Crime Branch IG, Arun Bothra has been transferred and posted as CEO of Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU).

—1997 batch IFS officer and commissioner-cum-secretary ST and SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare, R Raghu Prasad has been posted as Secretary, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development (F&ARD) with the additional charge of managing director of OMFED.

—1998 batch IAS officer and Commissioner-cum-Secretary, F&ARD, Vishal Gagan will take charge as Special Secretary, Water Resources.

—1999 batch IAS officer, and Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Science & Technology, Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma has been posted as Secretary, SSEPD.

—2002 batch IAS officer and commissioner-cum-secretary, Cooperation with the additional charge of secretary, Works, Krishan Kumar has been appointed as commissioner-cum-secretary, Works.

—2002 batch IAS officer, MD, OLIC with the additional charge of special secretary, Water Resources, Archana Patnaik will be the Special Secretary, Water Resources with additional charge of MD, OLIC.

—2007 batch IAS officer and additional chief electoral officer Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav has been posted as Director, Scheduled Tribe.

—2010 batch IAS officer and CEO, CESU, Sadique Alam will join as Executive Director, CMGI (Centre for Modernising Government Initiative) Bhubaneswar.

—2012 batch IAS officer and Secretary, Board of Revenue, Surendra Kumar Meena will retain the additional charge of Deputy Secretary, Works.
