Bhubaneswar: Several aspirants for junior teacher posts staged a protest, alleging irregularities in selection process, in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) in Bhubaneswar had published the results of Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the recruitment to junior teacher posts on Wednesday.
Alleging that the OSEPA had published the merit list without declaring the cut-off marks, the aspirants staged the protest in front of its office. Some of them line up to file RTI applications seeking details of their marks secured in the test.
They said several candidates with high marks had not been included in the merit list while fake candidates had been selected in the test. They also showed the admit cards of a candidate bearing the picture of a coaching centre teacher.
As the tension mounted, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. However, no untoward incident was reported during the agitation. On Wednesday also, some aspirants had staged protest immediately after declaration of CBT results.
