Bhubaneswar: Aspirants for the posts of Amin and RI staged a demonstration in Bhubaneswar on Monday alleging largescale irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).
Holding placards and banners, a large number of job aspirants under the banner of Students Against Corruption staged demonstration at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar.
The demonstration was held two days after Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari ordered a probe into the allegations of irregularities in the exam. The protesters demanded cancellation & re-conduct of the exam and stringent action against officials involved in alleged irregularities.
The protesters further alleged that a blacklisted company was chosen to conduct the exam and there should be a thorough investigation into the matter. The agitation is a warning to the Odisha government to take immediate steps to bring transparency in the conduct of the exams, they said.
Stating that they have written to the Chief Minister through Collectors and protesting for the last several days, the demonstrators claimed computers malfunctioned at some exam centres and many aspirants could not appear for the exam properly.
The exam must be conducted through a reputed organisation, they added.
