Guwahati: A poor batting display by Odisha helped Assam defeat the visitors by four wickets in the East Zone U23 Women’s T-20 League at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday. This is Odisha’s second straight loss, having earlier lost to West Bengal by four wickets.
With none of the batsmen scoring double digit runs, Odisha was bundled all out for merely 56 runs in 18.5 overs. In reply, Assam achieved the target in 17.3 overs, with four wickets remaining.
Playing against West Bengal on Saturday, Odisha had once again face defeat after a four-wicket haul by SP Aich helped Bengal win the match by seven wickets.
