Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav has landed in trouble for allegedly assaulting a man in the Odisha capital.
According to sources, Yadav kicked one Kalu Charana Parida as the latter’s dog defecated near the entrance to the bureaucrat’s house here on Wednesday.
While Parida accused the IAS officer of kicking him, he refuted the poop episode.
“I usually take my pet dog with me for an early morning stroll. Today, the IAS officer intercepted me and asked me not to take my dog in front of his house. When I told him that my pet would do no harm to him, he got enraged and let his guard dog on me. Fearing that the dog would bite my pet, I caught hold of its neck when suddenly Yadav kicked me from behind. I fell down and hit my face on the road,” he added.
The man has filed a written complaint against the IAS officer at Saheed Nagar police station
When asked about the complaint, DCP Umashankar Dash said he will look into the matter.
The IAS officer was not available for comment.
