Rayagada: An assistant collector in Odisha’s Rayagada district committed suicide, allegedly over work stress, on Sunday morning.
Sources said Siba Prasad Panigrahi consumed excess dose of Chloroquine tablets on Sunday morning. His family members rushed him to Rayagada district headquarters hospital, but he died on the way.
Panigrahi’s family members alleged he was stressed over his workload and took the extreme step as he could not take it any more. The police have begun investigations into the matter.
