Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday unearthed a triple-storey building worth around Rs 1.10 crore, 2 plots and bank and insurance deposits over Rs 1.03 crore during a raid on Kishore Chandra Sahu, Assistant Engineer, General Public Health (GPH) Section, Bhawanipatna, in a disproportionate assets case.
Simultaneous searches are on at 3 places in Kalahandi district.
1. Residential house at Mandarbagichapada, Bhawanipatna Town
2. Parental residential house at Balbaspur village under Narla block
3. Office chamber at GPH Section office, Bhawanipatna
The raids also led to the recovery of Rs 2.65 lakh in cash and 235 grams of gold.
Assets unearthed
1) A triple-storey building of 10,500 sqft at Bhawanipatna town
2) Two plots at Bhawanipatna town
3) Bank & Insurance deposits over Rs.1.03 crore.
4) Rs 2.65 lakh in cash
5) 235 grams of gold jewellery & 700 grams of silver ornaments
6) 2 two wheelers.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the building/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
