Oklahoma: At least 10 people were injured after a shooting broke out at a party near Arcadia Lake in the US state of Oklahoma late Sunday night, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 9 pm local time at a large gathering of young people near the lake, in a suburb of Oklahoma City, reported India Today. Police said they received multiple emergency calls reporting gunfire at the scene, prompting a swift response from multiple law enforcement agencies.
According to officials, a
t least 10 victims were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals, while several others with injuries reached medical facilities in private vehicles, raising the possibility that the total number of injured could increase. Victims were reported to be in “various conditions,” though the exact severity of injuries has not been disclosed.
Authorities said no arrests had been made at the time of reporting, and the suspects remain at large. Police have launched an extensive investigation, interviewing witnesses and victims across the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
The shooting reportedly took place during a social event, sometimes described as a “Sunday Funday” gathering, which had drawn a large crowd of young attendees. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
