Atishi Dances Even As AAP Loses Delhi Polls, Swati Maliwal Calls Her Shameless

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (APP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal slammed outgoing Delhi CM and party leader, Atishi, after a video showing the latter celebrating her victory in the Delhi Assembly polls went viral on internet.
Atishi was seen dancing after her victory in the Assembly elections from the Kalkaji constituency. Swati Maliwal called such an act as a “shameless display”. Maliwal’s remarks came in light of AAP’s humiliating defeat in the elections as the BJP recorded a thumping victory bagging 48 out of 70 seats.

Here’s how Atishi danced:

Maliwal questioned the timing of the celebration as many senior leaders of the party, including its founder Arvind Kejriwal, losing their seats. She shared a post on X asking why Atishi was dancing when several AAP leaders were defeated. She also shared a video of Atishi’s dance and victory celebration. The AAP has managed to win only 22 seats. Bug guns like Arvind Kejriwal, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Manish Sisodia have lost to the BJP surge in Delhi.

Atishi retained the Kalkaji seat after a hard-fought contest and defeated BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri by a margin of 3,521 votes.

Maliwal had also attacked AAP for losing Delhi assembly elections, stating that god “punishes” those who commit crime against woman.

Maliwal’s remark was an indirect reference to the assault case, in which she alleged Kejriwal’s personal aide, Bibhav Kumar of ‘assaulting’ her at the then CM’s residence.

Despite being a sharp critic of AAP and Kejriwal, she has still not left the party yet.
