Anandpur: Supporters of School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra staged a road blockade near Jarda Chhak in Anandpur on NH-20 in Keonjhar district on Monday to protest against the stone pelting on the minister’s car.
The agitators demanded action against those involved in attack during Ganesh idol immersion ceremony at Belabahali Chhak in the district the previous day.
Another group of people staged a demonstration and blocked the road at Ghatagaon over the same issue.
On the other hand, police have seized five DJ sets that were used during the immersion ceremony last night.
Unidentified miscreants had pelted Patra’s car with stones and badly damaged its rear windshield while he was on his way to Belabahali to attend the Ganesh idol immersion ceremony.
