Mumbai: Considering the increasing popularity of petrol cars, Audi has launched the petrol variant of the Q5 SUV.
It has been priced at ₹ 55.27 lakh for the Premium Plus trim and ₹ 59.79 lakh for the Technology trim. Both prices are ex-showroom throughout the country India.
The 2.0-litre TFSI engine is turbocharged and produces 248 bhp power at a torque of 370 Nm. The gearbox is a 7-speed dual-clutch auto transmission and as expected it comes with the famed Quattro all-wheel drive system.
There are no changes visually between the petrol and the diesel variant, other than the ’45 TFSI’ badge at the rear.
The Technology trim gets Matrix LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps. The interiors of the car are dominated by beige and black. The 8.3 inch MMI system has smartphone integration support with voice command.
Audi has given a rotary knob to control it instead of a touchscreen. The sound system is made by Bang & Olufsen. There is also a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit instrument cluster which can display info about maps, music, contacts, average speed, real-time fuel consumption, and more.
There is support for wireless smartphone charging.
Three-zone climate control and power-adjustable front seats are standard.
Coming to safety, Audi has loaded the Q5 with 8 airbags, rear view camera, park assist, hill descent assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, electromechanical parking brake, and more.
Audi Q5 will go head-to-head with the likes of other premium mid-size SUVs such as the BMW X3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Bollywood actress, Nimrat Kaur was the star guest at the unveiling.
