Australia on Friday reported the first death linked to blood clots, post administration of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
The 48-year-old woman was injected with the vaccine on April 8, hours before Australian authorities recommended that those under 50 should take the Pfizer vaccine because of the risk of rare blood clots associated with Oxford-AstraZeneca shot.
She was admitted with blood clots to a hospital in New South Wales four days later, and died on Thursday.
