Koida: An automobile shop was gutted in Koida town of Sundargarh district in Odisha on Monday.
According to sources, the fire started from earthen lamps lit inside the shop. The owner of Jyoti Enterprises at Koida Chhak has been unwell and undergoing treatment at a private hospital. His sons conducted a puja and lit earthen lamps before leaving the shop.
Local spotted smoke billowing out of the shop and informed fire services. However, the shop had been gutted with automobile parts, rubber tyres and other vehicle accessories worth lakhs destroyed by the time the firefighters arrived.
