Awareness Campaign On Rights Of Electricity Consumers Held In Puri

Puri: Energy Minister Sushant Singh inaugurated a public awareness campaign for power consumers at the interactive stall put up at Saradhaballi in Puri on Saturday.

The campaign was launched by GRIDCO and the four power distribution companies (CESU, NESCO, WESCO and SOUTHCO) with an aim to create awareness about the rights and duties of electricity consumers.

Live music, folk dances including Ghoda and Bagha Nacha, conch blowing, quiz and slam poetry were organised on the occasion. Later, prizes were distributed to the participants of the quiz and slam poetry competitions.

AV spots and jingles on the topic were broadcast and leaflets distributed.

A large crowd had gathered for the events in spite of inclement weather.

Chief Executive Officer of CESU, Md Sadiq Alam was also present on the occasion.
