AYUSH Doctor Arrested For Killing 73-Year-Old Father In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:  Khandagiri police on Saturday arrested an AYUSH doctor for killing his father at his residence in Jagmohan Nagar.

According to police, Ranjan Kumar Mishra, an AYUSH doctor, was suspecting an illicit relationship between his wife and his 73-year-old father Raj Kishore Mishra, a retired government employee.

Recently, the wife of Ranjan had left for her paternal house after a quarrel with husband on this issue.

The incident took place on July 16 when Ranjan severely thrashed his father. After he fell unconscious, he took him to the Capital Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The police on the basis of the post-mortem report registered an unnatural death case and arrested Ranjan after an investigation. The accused will be produced in the court.
