Ayushman Bharat Launch Tomorrow In Odisha; Ministers To Attend District-Level Events



Bhubaneswar: Odisha will become the 34th state to implement Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana with the launch of the central scheme along with ‘Ayushman Vayo-Vandana Yojana’ and the state’s Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) by Union Health Minister J P Nadda on April 11.

hief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling will attend the event.

Three union ministers from Odisha – Jual Oram, Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw – are also scheduled to grace the occasion. The state’s 1405 primary healthcare centres (PHCs) will participate through video conferencing.

District-level events will also be organised to mark the launch of the scheme and will be attended by the state ministers. Check the details here:

Nearly 3.50 crore people of 1.3 crore families in Odisha will benefit from the combined scheme, likely to be named Ayushman Bharat-Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-GJAY). It will provide an insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per annum with additional Rs 5 lakh for women members. The beneficiaries will get free cash-less treatment in 29,000 registered private and government hospitals across the country.
