Mumbai: Salman Khan who has been living under the threat of the Bishnoi gang cancelled the shooting of Big Boss 18 and rushed to Lilavati Hospital Saturday night after hearing about the death of Baba Siddique, who was shot at by alleged members of the Bishnoi Gang.

Many prominent film personalities including Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, and Salman Khan  visited the hospital to pay condolences to his family.

Salman Khan was reportedly at the Film City in Goregaon, shooting for the Sunday edition of Big Boss, Weekend Ka Vaar, when the news of Siddique’s murder came. He cancelled the shoot midway and rushed to the hospital as soon as he received the news of Siddique’s death in the shootout.

Baba Siddique has been with the Congress for 48 years, serving as MLA three times. Earlier this year, he joined Ajit Pawar’s faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Siddique has been a popular figure in Mumbai’s political and film circles. His Iftar parties would see participation from leading political and film personalities. It was in one of these Iftar parties in 2013 that he managed to end the feud between Salman Khan and Sharukh Khan.
