Mumbai: Investigation into the murder of Baba Siddique has revealed that four guns, not three, were used, Mumbai Police said on Friday.
The Maharashtra politician was shot multiple times by three assailants near his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East on October 12, sending shockwaves across the country.
Police is now looking into the possibility that the guns were sent to India from Pakistan via drones, NDTV quoted a police source as saying.
The picture of the guns has also been sent to Rajasthan Police.
The gang of jailed Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the murder of Siddique, a leader of Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party.
Fourteen people have been arrested in the Siddique murder case so far, and three are still absconding.

Police have claimed that Haryana resident Gurmail Baljit Singh, Uttar Pradesh native Dharmaraj Kashyap and absconding Shivkumar Gautam were the trio to shoot at Siddique.
Pune-based Pravin Lonkar’s brother Shubham, allegedly associated with Lawrence, and other wanted accused had conspired to plan and execute the killing and supplied firearms to the shooters, according to police.
The three shooters threw chilli powder at the cop guarding Siddique before killing him.
Pune scrap dealer Harish Kumar Nisad was arrested on the charge of providing financial help for the operation.
