Babri Demolition Case: Supreme Court Refuses Ex-Judge’s Security Request

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to extend the security of former special judge S K Yadav, who had acquitted all 32 accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

A three-judge bench passed the order after considering the former judge’s request to extend his personal security in view of the sensitivity of the case, PTI reported.

“Having perused the letter, we don’t consider it appropriate to provide security,” the bench said.

On his last day in office on September 30, Yadav had acquitted all 32 accused in the case declaring that there was no conclusive evidence that proved they were part of any conspiracy to bring down the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.
