Babushaan Makes First Public Appearance After Saturday Fracas; Check His Message For Fans

Bhubaneswar: Five days after the high-voltage fracas involving his wife Trupti Satpathy and co-actor Prakruti Mishra, Ollywood actor Babushaan made his first public appearance on Thursday from the balcony of his parental house at Jaganath Vihar in Odisha capital.

He had returned to Bhubaneswar from Chennai, where he had gone to attend an event and for promotion of his film, on Wednesday.

Babushaan waved at the fans and assured them that he would be addressing the media soon. “I would like to thank everyone for their support. I am delighted to be back with my family. I will reveal everything at the appropriate time,” the actor told journalists waiting outside his residence.

Responding to media queries about whether he would depose before police, his mother and veteran actress Aparajita Mohanty, who was accompanying him, said that Babushaan is unwell and they will not be going anywhere. She also assured that the media briefing would happen soon.

Notably, his wife Trupti Satpathy has lodged a complaint against him and actress Prakruti Mishra, on basis of which, police have registered a case under Sections 498 (A) (harassment of a married woman by her husband or relatives) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC.

The actor has already moved the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case.
