Cuttack: An abandoned baby girl was rescued from near a drain at Sutahat here on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, passersby spotted the baby near the drain in a critical condition and immediately rushed her to Sishu Bhawan, the premier paediatrics hospital in the state.
The girl is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Under what circumstances the child was dumped and the identity of her parents are yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
